Nauru Nauru or the Republic of Nauru is an island country in Micronesia in the South Pacific. Nauru is the world’s smallest republic, covering just 21 square kilometers with around 9,000 residents. This island is inhabited with 12 tribes, which is symbolically represented by the 12 stars of the national flag. Nauru maybe is isolated but has its own airline, tropical weather and an interesting history. Due to its small size, Nauru has no capital city.
