Hourglass Dolphins (Lagenorhynchus cruciger) have distinct black-and-white coloring and gets its name from the white hourglass design on its sides. Whalers always keep a keen eye out for this species in particular because they frequently travel near various types of whales. The hourglass dolphin prefers colder waters and can only be found south of the subtropical convergence.
